NAVY
Bath Iron Works, Bath, Maine, is being awarded a $662,927,172 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-11-C-2305) to exercise options for DDG 116 construction and associated engineering change proposals and design budgeting requirements. Work will be performed in Bath/Brunswick, Maine (75.7 percent); Cincinnati, Ohio (7 percent); Walpole, Mass. (4.9 percent); Coatesville, Pa. (1.9 percent); Charlottesville, Va. (1.9 percent); York, Pa. (1.5 percent); Erie, Pa. (1.1 percent); Falls Church, Va. (1.1 percent); and various locations inside the United States, 1 percent or less (4.9 percent). Work is expected to be completed by August 2018. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
A&D Fire Sprinklers, Inc.*, Santee, Calif. (N62473-12-D-0202); Fed Con/South Bay, J.V.*, Camarillo, Calif. (N62473-12-D-0203); Southwestern Dakotah, Inc.*, Tucson, Ariz. (N62473-12-D-0204); and Western Fire Protection, Inc.*, Poway, Calif. (N62473-12-D-0205), are each being awarded a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple award construction contract for new construction, repair, renovation, and alteration of fire protection systems at various locations within the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southwest area of responsibility (AOR). The maximum dollar value for all four contracts combined is $75,000,000. No task orders are being issued at this time. The work to be performed provides for design-build or fully designed projects for new construction, repair, renovation and alteration of fire protection systems. The types of fire protection system construction projects may include, but are not limited to, the new installation, addition, alterations, and repair of: fire sprinkler systems; fire protection system water supply storage and distribution systems; low and high expansion aqueous fire fighting foam systems; water spray and water mist systems; and fire alarm systems. Associated components and systems that may also be included in the fire protection system construction projects for this multiple award construction contract may include: incidental special hazard systems such as gaseous systems (carbon dioxide and clean agents), kitchen fire suppressions systems and dry chemical systems. Work will be performed at various federal sites within the NAVFAC Southwest AOR, including but not limited to, California (93 percent), Arizona (2 percent), Nevada (2 percent), Utah (1 percent), Colorada (1 percent), and New Mexico (1 percent). The terms of the contracts are not to exceed 36 months, with an expected completion date of February 2015. Contract funds in the amount of $20,000 are obligated on this award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website as a 100-percent small business set-aside with nine proposals received. These four contractors may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the awarded contract. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity.
PAE Government Services, Inc., Arlington, Va., is being awarded a $14,372,851 modification under a previously awarded cost-plus-award fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N33191-07-D-0207) for the two month extension of option four, which provides for base operating support services at Camp Lemonnier and forwarding operating location Camp Simba, Manda Bay, Kenya. The work to be performed provides for general management and administration services; public safety (harbor security, security operations and emergency management program); ordnance; air operations (airfield facilities and passenger terminal and cargo handling); supply; morale, welfare and recreation; galley; housing (bachelor quarters and laundry); facility support (facilities investment, janitorial, pest control services and refuse services); utilities (water, waste water and electrical); base support vehicle and equipment; and environmental. The total contract amount after award of this modification will be $408,052,937. Work will be performed in Djibouti and Kenya, and is expected to be completed by May 2012. Contract funds in the amount of $14,372,851 are obligated on this award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Europe Africa Southwest Asia, Naples, Italy, is the contracting activity.
BAE Systems National Security Solutions, Mclean, Va., is being awarded a $9,986,085 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contract for the delivery and fielding of intelligence exploitation and targeting systems derived from the common geo-positioning services package of software and related hardware components of Distributed Common Ground Station Systems and similar National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency systems. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif. (70 percent), and Ridgecrest, Calif. (30 percent), and is expected to be completed in February 2014. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to FAR 6.302-1.
