(NSI News Source Info) June 2, 2009: Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force personnel march in front of their P-3C aircraft on their arrival at an airport in Djibouti, capital of Republic of Djibouti neighboring Somalia, Sunday, May 31, 2009.
Two Japanese surveillance planes landed here to join the country's anti-piracy mission off the coast of Somalia, the first international policing assignment for Japan's military since World War II.
