(NSI News Source Info) SINGAPORE - October 17, 2009: Little India bustled with activity on Friday as people were rushing to do some last—minute shopping ahead of Deepavali on Saturday. They were there to buy fresh flowers, lamps, banana leaves at the bazaar to mark the festival of lights.
Shouts of Happy Deepavali could be heard as the crowd moved along.
Shop vendors said this year’s turn—out was even better than expected.
