CONTRACTS

ARMY

The Boeing Company, Defense, Space & Security, Mesa, Ariz., was awarded a $190,239,373 firm-fixed-price contract Jan. 12, 2011. The award will provide for the remanufacture of 72 AH-64A aircraft into AH-64D aircraft along with one Longbow Crew Trainer. Work will be performed in Mesa, Ariz., with an estimated completion date of March 31, 2014. One bid was solicited with one bid received. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, AMCOM, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W58RGZ-06-C-0093).

CEMS, Ladson, S.C., was awarded a $48,000,000 shared-capacity, firm-fixed-price indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract Jan. 12, 2011. The award will provide architect and engineer services for the Energy Conservation Investment Program. The location of work will be determined with each task order, with an estimated completion date of Jan. 9, 2016. The bid was solicited through the Small Business Restricted program with 28 bids received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntsville District, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity (W912DY-11-D-0024).

NIKA Technologies, N. Bethesda, Md., was awarded a $48,000,000 shared-capacity, firm-fixed-price indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract Jan. 12, 2011. AIR FORCE

McDonnell Douglas Corporation, a Wholly-Owned Subsidiary of the Boeing Company, of St. Louis, Mo. was awarded an $87,996,491 contract which will procure a quantity of 3,500 Guided Vehicle kits for Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) purposes. At this time, the entire amount has been obligated. AAC/EDBK, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. is the contracting activity. (FA8681-11-C-0111)

Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, Integrated System Sector of San Diego, Calif. was awarded a $45,996,375 contract modification for the advance procurement long lead items associated with two (2) Block 30 and two (2) Block 40 Global Hawk Air Vehicles, two (2) in-line Airborne Signals Intelligence Payloads, two (2) Multi-Platform RADAR Technology Insertion Program Sensors, two (2) in-line EISS Sensors and other items and activities required to protect the production schedule for Lot 10. At this time, $45,966,375 has been obligated. ASC/WIGK at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio is the contracting activity. (FA8620-10-C-4000, P00002)

UES Incorporated of Dayton, Ohio was awarded a $35,000,000 contract to conduct research on the effect of and interactions produced by lasers on materials, structures and sensor components and configurations of interest to the Air Force and DoD. At this time, $50,000 has been obligated. AFRL/PKMM, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio is the contracting activity. (FA8650-11-D-5400 Task Orders 0001 and 0002)

Science Applications International Corporation of San Diego, Calif. was awarded a $12,723,772 contract modification which will provide maintenance support of the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Operations Center at Cannon AFB in New Mexico and the RPA Operations Center at Nellis AFB, Nevada to support the AFSCO Large RPA Enterprise and associated Air Force Reserve units and co-located at the ACC unit at Nellis AFB, Nevada. This contract also provides organizational maintenance support of the Ground Control Stations at Cannon and Nellis Air Force Bases. At this time, $12,723,772 has been obligated. 27 SOCONS/AFLT at Cannon Air Force Base, N.M. is the contracting activity. (FA4855-08-C-0017, P00016)

NAVY

Critical Solutions International Inc., Carrollton, Texas, is being awarded a maximum $68,800,000 three-year firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for parts in support of Vehicle Mounted Mine Detector (VMMD) systems to support United States Marine Corps units. Work will be performed in Carrollton, Texas, and work is expected to be completed by Jan. 13, 2014. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract is a sole source contract. The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity (M67854-11-D-5090).

Maritime Security Strategies, LLC, Tampa, Fla., is being awarded a $29,020,000 firm-fixed price contract to construct a 42-meter coastal security craft and provide associated equipment, material, training and technical services. This contract involves Foreign Military Sales to the Government of Lebanon. Work will be performed in Tampa, Fla., and is expected to be completed by January 2012. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-11-C-2241).

BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $21,070,995 cost-reimbursement with award fee contract modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-07-C-4407). This modification is an undefinitized contractual action for the USS Benfold (DDG 65) fiscal 2011 Extended Dry-docking Selected Restricted Availability (EDSRA). An EDSRA includes the planning and execution of depot-level maintenance, alterations, and modifications that will update and improve the ship's military and technical capabilities. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by July 2011. Contract funds in the amount of $21,070,995 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity.

Logos Technologies, Inc.*, Arlington, Va., is being awarded a $10,364,034 cost-plus-fixed-fee order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N68335-10-G-0036) for a Phase III Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) project. This SBIR project is in support of Topic SB072-019 “Wide Area Video Image Storage Techniques” and Topic SB072-017 “False Alarm Mitigation.” This order provides services in support of: Wide Area Persistent Surveillance Aerostat (WAPSA) payloads and ground stations, integration and maintenance in-theater; integration onto Persistent Ground Surveillance Systems (PGSS) platforms; Lightweight Expeditionary Airborne Persistent Surveillance (LEAPS); and the Army Global Civil Military Emergency Preparedness (AGCMEP) and Persistent Threat Detection System (PTDS). The work will be performed in Arlington, Va. (75 percent); Afghanistan (20 percent); and Yuma, Ariz. (5 percent), and is expected to be completed in January 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity.

Science Applications International Corporation, McLean, Va., is being awarded an $8,038,539 cost-plus-fixed-fee level of effort contract to provide the fiscal 2011 Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems Integration Support Services. This contract contains three one year options, which if exercised, will bring the cumulative contract amount to $28,391,554. Work will be performed in Washington, D.C., and work is expected to be completed Jan. 13, 2012. With options exercised the completion date will be Jan. 13, 2015. Contract funds in the amount of $8,038,539 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured, with three offers received. The Strategic Systems Programs, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00030-11-C-0045).
