The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $129,996,000 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-09-C-0086) for the procurement of 12 EA-18G Lot 35 full rate production airborne electronic attack kits and the associated non-recurring engineering. Work will be performed in Baltimore, Md. (43.3 percent); St. Louis, Mo. (33.3 percent); Bethpage, N.Y. (17.8 percent); and Fort Wayne, Ind. (5.6 percent). Turner Universal, Brentwood, Tenn., is being awarded a $92,581,000 firm-fixed-price contract for design and construction of 2nd Intelligence Battalion complex and 2nd Anglico Battalion complex at the North Wallace Creek area, Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. The work to be performed provides design and construction for seven new structures totaling approximately 252,000 square feet to support the 2nd Intelligence Battalion complex and the 2nd Anglico Battalion complex. The sitework construction includes clearing, roads, sidewalks, surface pavements for POV and tactical vehicle parking, washpads, oil-water separator(s), security fencing and gates, turf, landscaping and other site improvements; grading and drainage, utilities and site lighting. Utilities include potable water, sanitary sewer, natural gas, electrical power and telecommunications. Demolition of Building 445 at a separate site will be accomplished as a part of this project. The contract also contains two unexercised options, which, if exercised, would increase cumulative contract value to $103,054,710. Work will be performed in Jacksonville, N.C., and is expected to be completed by July 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with 36 proposals received. RQ/Brasfield Gorrie, JV, Carlsbad, Calif., is being awarded a $79,462,833 firm-fixed-price contract for design and construction of bachelor enlisted quarters (BEQ) complex at Wallace Creek North, Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. This project includes a multi-story, multi-wing BEQ complex of 402-room modules, a 650-vehicle, multi-story parking garage. Ancillary structures at the BEQ include recreational and drying shelters, equipment cleaning areas as well as athletic courts and landscaped courtyards. The parking garage shall include a high-efficiency photovoltaic array for generation of electricity for use by the facilities constructed under this contract. Site work construction includes clearing, improvements to Parachute Tower Road, driveways, sidewalks, surface pavements for privately owned vehicle parking, security fencing and gates, turf, landscaping and other site improvements; grading and drainage, utilities and site lighting. Utilities include potable water, sanitary sewer, natural gas, electrical power and telecommunications. There is minimal facility demolition associated with this project. The contract also contains three unexercised options, which, if exercised, would increase cumulative contract value to $89,179,448. Work will be performed in Jacksonville, N.C., and is expected to be completed by July 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with 34 proposals received. DynCorp International, LLC, Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $37,434,785 modification under a previously awarded cost-plus-award-fee contract (N62742-08-C-1115) to exercise the fourth option period to provide services for Philippines operations support in the Republic of the Philippines for the Joint Special Operations Task Force Philippines. The work to be performed provides for all labor, supervision, management, tools, materials, equipment, facilities, transportation, incidental engineering, and other items necessary to provide support services. After award of this option, the total cumulative contract value will be $172,586,729. Lockheed Martin Corp., MS2, Integrated Defense Technologies, Baltimore, Md., is being awarded a $13,070,102 modification under previously awarded contract (N00024-11-C-5302) for MK 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS) ordnance alteration kits, production support material, interim support parts, and equipment in support of DDG 51-class new construction, and Aegis modernization programs. The MK 41 VLS provides a missile launching system for CG 47- and DDG 51-class surface combatants of the U.S. Navy, surface combatants of allied navies, and Aegis Ashore requirements for Missile Defense Agency’s Ground Ballistic Missile Defense Program. It is the primary missile launching system aboard Navy combatants used to store, safe, inventory and launch missiles of various types. Work will be performed in Baltimore, Md. (29.5 percent); Ft. The Raytheon Co., McKinney, Texas, is being awarded a $10,426,709 modification under a previously awarded contract (N0000-19-05-G-0008) to exercise an option to procure supplies and services for 38 lasers and laser electronic units and an additional 28 Elector optical sensing unit kits. These kits support the Advanced Target Forward Looking Infrared marker retrofit effort. Work will be performed in El Segundo, Calif. CER, Inc., Baltimore, Md., is being awarded a $9,052,500 firm-fixed-price task order #0007 under a previously multiple award construction contract (N40080-10-D-0302) for design and construction for renovations to the Lejeune Hall pool at the U.S. Naval Academy. The work to be performed provides for the replacement of Lejeune Hall’s air-handling units and heating water supply, installation of roof-mounted exhaust fans, heating and ventilating unit, high-temp water heat exchangers, new chilled water piping and microprocessor-based DDC system for HVAC control and monitoring, new water supply system, drainage system and pumps, deck for the 50-meter and dive pools, all electrical, fire-protection, architectural and structural upgrades to support the work and incidental related work. The task order also contains two unexercised options, which, if exercised, would increase cumulative task order value to $9,253,500. Work will be performed in Annapolis, Md., and is expected to be completed by August 2012. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Burns & Roe Services Corp., Virginia Beach, Va., is being awarded an $8,635,614 modification under a previously awarded firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N62470-06-D-4614) to exercise option five for utilities and maintenance services at U.S. Naval Base, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The work to be performed provides for, but is not limited to, managerial, supervision, labor, engineering services, tools, materials, equipment and transportation necessary for the utilities systems operation and maintenance, including: seawater desalinization; potable water treatment, storage, and distribution; water quality testing and control; electrical power production and distribution; cathodic protection systems operation and maintenance; airfield lighting systems maintenance and repair; maintenance and repair of street, recreational, perimeter, and security lighting; operation and maintenance of satellite boilers, air compressors, incinerators, swimming pools; and miscellaneous other mechanical equipment. The total contract amount after exercise of this option will be $64,157,029. Work will be performed at U.S. Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and is expected to be completed by June 2012. Aerojet General Corp., Rancho Cordova, Calif., is being awarded a $7,502,212 firm-fixed-price contract modification to develop a set of modeling and simulation tools for closed expander hydrogen fueled engines that will allow attainment of increase in the specific impulse and in the thrust/weight over the baseline and that applicability to other engine cycles. This modification puts on contract the next generation engine and the upper-stage technology options. This work supports the integrated high payoff rocket propulsion technology in the boost and orbit transfer mission area for the upper stage engine.
