Work will be performed in West Point, Miss., and is expected to be completed by the end of October 2013. Procurement funds in the amount of $879,923,195 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The original contract was competitively procured. Scientific Research Corp., Atlanta, Ga., is being awarded an estimated $12,192,691 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee, performance-based contract to provide support to the National Science Foundation, U.S. Antarctic Program for air traffic operations in Antarctica through its Charleston-based Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Office of Polar Programs. Support includes core functional areas of air traffic control, meteorology, and the maintenance of support systems including, aviation ground electronics maintenance. These services all support the safe and continuous scientific endeavors of the United States government in cooperation with many international partners. This contract includes options, which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to an estimated $64,000,000. Work will be performed in Charleston, S.C. (60 percent), and outside the continental United States (40 percent), and is expected to be completed by January 2013. If all options are exercised, work could continue until January 2017. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with proposals solicited via the Commerce Business Daily’s Federal Business Opportunities website, and the SPAWAR E-Commerce Central website, with one offer received. Mikel, Inc., Fall River, Mass., is being awarded a $9,079,049 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-11-C-6295) to provide engineering services to Team Submarine and the PMS 425 Program Office. Efforts will include combat systems of the future and non-collinear wave front curvature ranging. These services will be rendered as needed to provide for research and combat system development and processing in the areas of automation and data fusion, target motion analysis, weapon employment, and tactical decision aids that extend and apply previous efforts that focus on improved automation, reduced manning requirements, and improved human system integration over current combat systems applicable to Navy submarines, surface and air platforms. In addition, these services will include development of tactical combat and surveillance system algorithms and software to include sonar, combat control, weapons, communications, C4I and navigation functionality as well as non-tactical software for undersea fixed and portable tracking ranges. Work will be performed in Fall River, Mass. (88 percent); Manassas, Va. (9 percent); Laurel, Fla. (1 percent); North Kingstown, R.I. (1 percent); and Poulsbo, Wash. (1 percent). Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Herndon, Va., was awarded on Jan. 8 a $7,563,624 modification to previously awarded cost-plus-fixed fee contract (N63394-10-C-1201) for Aegis engineering and technical services. This procurement will furnish engineering, technical, computer programming, materials management, and specified logistics services necessary to support Aegis Combat System, major weapon systems programs, test and evaluation and post event analysis. Work will be performed in Port Hueneme, Calif. (65 percent); San Diego, Calif. (15 percent); Dahlgren, Va. (10 percent); and Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (10 percent). Work is expected to be completed by July 2012. This contract includes purchases from the governments of Australia (6 percent), Japan (6 percent), and Spain (6 percent) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Contract funds in the amount of $7,563,624 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Port Hueneme Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme, Calif., is the contracting activity.
NATIONAL GEOSPATIAL-INTELLIGENCE AGENCY
NJVC, L.L.C., Vienna, Va., was issued a modification exercising option year 10 of their contract (HM0176-11-C002/P00029). The award is a cost-plus-award-fee (CPAF) and firm-fixed-price (FFP) modification. The total CPAF value is $346,941,302 and the FFP value is $14,125,016. The information technology/information services contract provides the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency information technology enterprise operations and sustainment support to National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency information technology systems at approximately 170 sites (90 manned/ 80 unmanned) around the world. DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
Woodward HRT, Inc., Santa Clarita, Calif., was awarded a firm-fixed-price contract with a maximum $9,507,822 for actuators. No other location of performance. Using service is Army.
