NAVY
Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc., McLean, Va., was awarded on Aug. 1 a $23,662,663 modification to previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N00189-10-C-Z073). Fiscal 2011 Foreign Military Sales incremental funding in the amount of $3,561,919 will be provided under the modification to ensure that performance can continue uninterrupted on Aug. 1, 2011. The contract provides training, education, engineering, technical and management support services for the Royal Saudi Naval Forces under the Foreign Military Sales Program (100 percent). The required services will support management; plans and programs; command, control, communications, computers and intelligence and electronic warfare; naval operations; manpower and personnel management; technical support, logistics and supply; English language training; and special studies. Work will be performed in Saudi Arabia (60 percent); Pensacola, Fla. (30 percent); and Washington D.C. (10 percent). Work is expected to be completed July 31, 2012. This contract was procured on a sole-source basis with Booz Allen Hamilton, in accordance with FAR 6.302-4, International Agreement. Energy Focus, Inc., Solon, Ohio, was awarded on Aug. 1 a $23,119,388 firm-fixed-price contract to design and manufacture energy efficient, solid state lighting for general illumination on Navy ships to upgrade all the legacy lighting systems with new energy efficient, solid state lighting as part of the Navy’s green initiative. Work on this first delivery order will be performed in Solon, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 1, 2011. Contract funds in the amount of $1,239,650 expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively awarded on a best-value basis with three offers received. Sensor Technology Engineering, Inc.*, Santa Barbara, Calif., is being awarded a $10,814,020 firm-fixed-price commercial contract for the procurement of linear radiation monitors (LRM) and handheld radiation monitors (HRM). The LRM is a unique item containing multiple gamma and neutron radiation detectors spaced at three-foot intervals. It allows the operators to search for radioactive materials over large areas, around vehicles and containers and in wells and tunnels. The LRM can also be coiled and used as a search backpack by a single operator. The HRM is a single gamma and single neutron radiation detector that can be worn on a person or strapped onto a weapon or other piece of equipment. Work will be performed in Santa Barbara, Calif., and is expected to completed by November 2012. Contract funds in the amount of $965,020 will expire at the end of the fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. Sensor Technology Engineering is the only company that produces LRMs and HRMs, and it is necessary to field equipment that is identical and interoperable with existing equipment. AT&T Government Solutions, Inc., Herndon, Va., was awarded on July 27, $6,838,319 for task order #0044 under a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (M67854-03-A-5154) to provide technical support to the Marine Corps Systems Command, Information Systems and Infrastructure Product Group, Marine Corps Network and Infrastructure Services Program Office to provide information technology networking support services for the Marine Corps Garrison Classified Network to Marine Corps Forces Pacific, Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Corps Installation National Capitol Region installations. Throughout the contract period, the contractor will be required to perform such duties as customer support, network testing and monitoring, system analysis, and problem solving. DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
Woodward HRT, Santa Clarita, Calif., was issued a modification exercising the second option year on the current contract SPM4AX-09-D-9409/P00007. Award is a firm-fixed-price contract with a maximum $21,935,034 for various consumable and depot-level repairable spare items. There are no other locations of performance.
