AIR FORCE
Lockheed Martin Corp., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $49,483,339 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract modification for retrofit installations, including retrofits associated with the Reliability and Maintainability Maturation Program, and Structural Retrofit Program Phase II, for aircraft scheduled to be inducted during the second and third quarters of calendar year 2011 at the Palmdale Depot facility, as well as contractor support for depot throughput at both the Ogden and Palmdale depot facilities for the second and third quarters of calendar year 2011. Work will be performed at Marietta, Ga.; Fort Worth, Texas; and Seattle, Wash. Funds in the amount of $9,809,470 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aerojet General Corp., Rancho Cordova, Calif., is being awarded a not-to-exceed $31,778,418 firm-fixed-price contract modification for the procurement of warhead cases and internal components to support the Precision Lethality MK82 Quick Reaction Capability Program. This effort will cover delivery of 50 test warhead cases and internal components as well as post initial operation capability support for the Air Force and up to 70 test warhead cases and internal components for the Navy. Work will be performed at Rancho Cordova, Calif. AAC/EBSK, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity (FA8677-10-C-0335-PO0007).
NAVY
General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $33,500,000 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-11-C-2109) for engineering and technical design services to support research and development of advanced submarine technologies for current and future submarine platforms. Advanced submarine research and development includes studies to support the manufacturability, maintainability, producibility, reliability, manning, survivability, hull integrity, performance, structural, weight/margin, stability, arrangements, machinery systems, acoustics, hydrodynamics, ship control, logistics, human factors, materials, weapons handling and stowage, submarine safety, and affordability. Work will also include development and design of advanced submarine research and development technologies include integration/incorporation of technologies for tests/deployment of onboard advanced development models and engineering test platforms on designated research and development test platform(s) and current and future submarine platforms; fabrication of advanced engineering development models and prototypes required to demonstrate proof-of-concepts; and engineering design, technical assessment, systems integration, and configuration management and control services to support large scale vehicle test platforms. The program also supports near term insertion of Virginia-class technology; identification of Ohio-class replacement technology options; future submarine concepts; and core technologies. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn., and is expected to be completed by October 2011. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. Advanced Precision Manufacturing, Inc.*, Elk Grove Village, Ill. (N00164-11-D-JN90); All Rite Distributing Co., Inc.*, Fort Wayne, Ind. (N00164-11-D-JN91); CM Engineering, Inc.*, Dugger, Ind. (N00164-11-D-JN93); Magnetic Radiation Labs, Inc.*, Itasca, Ill. (N00164-11-D-JN95); Precision Laser Services, Inc.*, Fort Wayne, Ind. (N00164-11-D-JN96); and Universal Technologies, Inc.*, Estill Springs, Tenn. (N00164-11-D-JN97), are each being awarded firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts with a maximum value of $30,000,000 for crew-served weapons gun mounts and stands used for .50cal M2HB, M240B, and MK 19 40mm machine guns used in force protection roles. Crew-served weapons gun mounts and stands are being procured to support Navy, Army, Coast Guard, and Marine Corps in various applications. The contract awardees will compete for delivery orders. Work will be performed at the sites identified above depending upon which contractor receives each competitive order with the exception of All Rite Distributing Co., whose work will be performed in Elk Grove Village, Ill. Work performed under these contracts is expected to be completed by May 2016. This contract combines purchases for the Navy (80 percent); and the governments of Bangladesh, Columbia, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and the Republic of Cape Verde (20 percent) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Contract funds in the amount of $195,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured as a total small business set-aside with 18 offers received via the Federal Business Opportunities website. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity.
General Dynamics - Bath Iron Works, Bath, Maine, is being awarded a not-to-exceed $29,888,155 contract modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-06-C-2303) for long-lead-time material and engineering and support services for the Zumwalt-class guided missile destroyer DDG 1001. Work will be performed in Bath, Maine, and is expected to be completed by July 2011. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Whitney, Bailey, Cox and Magnani, Baltimore, Md., is being awarded a maximum $7,500,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity architect-engineering contract for miscellaneous civil/structural design and engineering services in the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Washington area of responsibility (AOR). The work to be performed provides for miscellaneous civil and structural design and engineering services with associated multi-disciplinal architectural and engineering support services required to perform various investigations, studies and preparation of construction documents. Task order 0001 is being awarded at $153,009 for the construction of a windblast and ejection tower facility at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Patuxent River, Md. Work for this task order is expected to be completed by November 2011. All work will be performed at various locations within the NAVFAC Washington AOR including Washington, D.C. (50 percent), Virginia (25 percent), and Maryland (25 percent), and is expected to be completed by April 2016. Contract funds in the amount of $153,009 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with 25 proposals received. Metro Machine Corp. Norfolk, Va., is being awarded a $7,358,392 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-09-C-4416) for additional repairs and preservation of 33 ballast tanks onboard USS Ashland (LSD 48). Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va., and is expected to be completed by February 2012. Contract funds in the amount of $7,358,392 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Norfolk Ship Support Activity, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity.
DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
Irving Oil Terminal, Inc., Portsmouth, N.H., was awarded a fixed-price with economic price adjustment, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a maximum $11,015,340 for aviation turbine fuel. The other location of performance is Bucksport, Maine. Using service is Defense Logistics Agency Energy. The date of performance completion is Oct. 30, 2011.
